Slate editor calls Obama speech style 'fascistic'

He says "I don't want to be rallied" and I know the feeling - they used to force us to attend pep rallies in my high school and let me tell you, that was totally fascistic.

Have the Obama people started rounding people up and trucking them to his speeches? No? Okay then - false alarm.

"Republican rallies are know for this"? Certainly not Clintons though, or Kerrys or al-Gores, or even the hoards of special interest groups clamoring for money, favors, special rights, and legitimization.

As for 'fascism' I figure the majority don't even know what it means anymore, it having been thrown around with the same casualness as Nazi, Dictator, Holocaust, Corporate greed, whatever and ever...on it goes

If he's calling Obama fascist because he rallies people, then many of our great presidents - JFK, Roosevelt, Reagan - could also be called fascist. Our nation needs a good damn waking up from their sheepish slumber. A call to want your civil liberties back - how fascist.

Heh, the guy's point is that Obama is unifying a sort of quasi-patriotic fervor behind him. The fact that ya'll are snapping at this guy's comments is kinda testament to his point - I acknowledge that Obama has a nice message, ya'll, but aren't you defeating the point if you act like a pack in defense of him when someone makes this kind of observation?

I like Obama, but his rallies do remind me of that of a fascist leader's. He speaks in broad terms about very general things, and people just go insane for it and eat up every word. I would say that he is a great orator - and knows it -- and that quality has the ability to stir up the masses, especially those who are easily swayed (and most people are).

This quality is similar to the oratories and speeces given by fascist leaders in the past, but that doesn't make him a fascist. If he gets elected, only time will tell us whether or not he is one based on how he governs.

I completely agree, I am for Obama perhaps it's his ability to unite many minds and focus them on a positive goal and if that is the reason I understand why one would call him a fascist. He's a great public speaker and speaking on ideals and to compare him to Benito Mussolini...ally of Hitler I guess it is something to fear, that is a powerful statement. That is why we have to put a person we trust in power.

Partisan Hack smells the odor of misplaced populism, distorted ideologies, class appeasement, and phony choices. It does lead to corporate fascism, whether the Weimar road, that then led to the Hitler road. But in all cases, it is an ideological failure.

He deserves a more serious look. We can all get smarter here....some of us even agree with conservative instincts, even though Partisan Hack feels threatened by my embrace. The issue is one of parallel links, which I often make, such as linking apparatchiks, bureacratic deformed middle layers to the deformed class elites and their class hieararchies. There is a reason for this parallel agreement with Partisan Hack, even if he is not willing to acknowledge my support for his position.

While wouldn't jump on the fascist Obama bandwagon just yet I don't think it's a non-possibility. Consider the history of the Vietnam war, disceptocrat or republicon, both continued the war. We can expect the same this time around, and if the anti-war people and hopping on the Obama bandwagon I have some sad news for them: he's not anti-war.

PH - do you really believe we still live in a democracy? As far as I can tell we've been living in an oligarchy since they killed JFK. There's also a plethora of evidence to suggest the 'elections' we've been having have been rigged time and time again. Go beyond that and look at the world today - we see evidence that psychopaths are in power, pulling the strings in media, industry, finance, and politics. The evidence suggests our world is ruled by those who lack the most evolved of human functions: a conscience. Until we wake up to this reality nothing can change.

Tell the rubes what they want to hear and then we will put the screws to them. Populist cliches with a preacher man delivery is the typical way to sell very bad politicians with very bad policies and profiting very bad people - like the warbuckers behind all of the major candidates.

They couldn't let us have one anti-war candidate and you want to trust the candidates they offer us?

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" for 2007

Washington, DC –Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released its 2007 list of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians." The list, in alphabetical order, includes:

1. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY): In addition to her long and sordid ethics record, Senator Hillary Clinton took a lot of heat in 2007 – and rightly so – for blocking the release her official White House records. Many suspect these records contain a treasure trove of information related to her role in a number of serious Clinton-era scandals. Moreover, in March 2007, Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against Senator Clinton for filing false financial disclosure forms with the U.S. Senate (again). And Hillary's top campaign contributor, Norman Hsu, was exposed as a felon and a fugitive from justice in 2007. Hsu pleaded guilt to one count of grand theft for defrauding investors as part of a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme.

2. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI): Conyers reportedly repeatedly violated the law and House ethics rules, forcing his staff to serve as his personal servants, babysitters, valets and campaign workers while on the government payroll. While the House Ethics Committee investigated these allegations in 2006, and substantiated a number of the accusations against Conyers, the committee blamed the staff and required additional administrative record-keeping and employee training. Judicial Watch obtained documentation in 2007 from a former Conyers staffer that sheds new light on the activities and conduct on the part of the Michigan congressman, which appear to be at a minimum inappropriate and likely unlawful. Judicial Watch called on the Attorney General in 2007 to investigate the matter.

3. Senator Larry Craig (R-ID): In one of the most shocking scandals of 2007, Senator Craig was caught by police attempting to solicit sex in a Minneapolis International Airport men's bathroom during the summer. Senator Craig reportedly "sent signals" to a police officer in an adjacent stall that he wanted to engage in sexual activity. When the police officer showed Craig his police identification under the bathroom stall divider and pointed toward the exit, the senator reportedly exclaimed 'No!'" When asked to produce identification, Craig presented police his U.S. Senate business card and said, "What do you think of that?" The power play didn't work. Craig was arrested, charged and entered a guilty plea. Despite enormous pressure from his Republican colleagues to resign from the Senate, Craig refused.

4. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA): As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee's subcommittee on military construction, Feinstein reviewed military construction government contracts, some of which were ultimately awarded to URS Corporation and Perini, companies then owned by Feinstein's husband, Richard Blum. While the Pentagon ultimately awards military contracts, there is a reason for the review process. The Senate's subcommittee on Military Construction's approval carries weight. Sen. Feinstein, therefore, likely had influence over the decision making process. Senator Feinstein also attempted to undermine ethics reform in 2007, arguing in favor of a perk that allows members of Congress to book multiple airline flights and then cancel them without financial penalty. Judicial Watch's investigation into this matter is ongoing.

5. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R-NY): Giuliani came under fire in late 2007 after it was discovered the former New York mayor's office "billed obscure city agencies for tens of thousands of dollars in security expenses amassed during the time when he was beginning an extramarital relationship with future wife Judith Nathan in the Hamptons…" ABC News also reported that Giuliani provided Nathan with a police vehicle and a city driver at taxpayer expense. All of this news came on the heels of the federal indictment on corruption charges of Giuliani's former Police Chief and business partner Bernard Kerik, who pleaded guilty in 2006 to accepting a $165,000 bribe in the form of renovations to his Bronx apartment from a construction company attempting to land city contracts.

6. Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR): Governor Huckabee enjoyed a meteoric rise in the polls in December 2007, which prompted a more thorough review of his ethics record. According to The Associated Press: "[Huckabee's] career has also been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governor's office." And what was Governor Huckabee's response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.

7. I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby: Libby, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and fined $250,000 for lying and obstructing the Valerie Plame CIA leak investigation. Libby was found guilty of four felonies -- two counts of perjury, one count of making false statements to the FBI and one count of obstructing justice – all serious crimes. Unfortunately, Libby was largely let off the hook. In an appalling lack of judgment, President Bush issued "Executive Clemency" to Libby and commuted the sentence.

8. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL): A "Dishonorable Mention" last year, Senator Obama moves onto the "ten most wanted" list in 2007. In 2006, it was discovered that Obama was involved in a suspicious real estate deal with an indicted political fundraiser, Antoin "Tony" Rezko. In 2007, more reports surfaced of deeper and suspicious business and political connections It was reported that just two months after he joined the Senate, Obama purchased $50,000 worth of stock in speculative companies whose major investors were his biggest campaign contributors. One of the companies was a biotech concern that benefited from legislation Obama pushed just two weeks after the senator purchased $5,000 of the company's shares. Obama was also nabbed conducting campaign business in his Senate office, a violation of federal law.

9. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA): House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who promised a new era of ethics enforcement in the House of Representatives, snuck a $25 million gift to her husband, Paul Pelosi, in a $15 billion Water Resources Development Act recently passed by Congress. The pet project involved renovating ports in Speaker Pelosi's home base of San Francisco. Pelosi just happens to own apartment buildings near the areas targeted for improvement, and will almost certainly experience a significant boost in property value as a result of Pelosi's earmark. Earlier in the year, Pelosi found herself in hot water for demanding access to a luxury Air Force jet to ferry the Speaker and her entourage back and forth from San Francisco non-stop, in unprecedented request which was wisely rejected by the Pentagon. And under Pelosi's leadership, the House ethics process remains essentially shut down – which protects members in both parties from accountability.

10. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV): Over the last few years, Reid has been embroiled in a series of scandals that cast serious doubt on his credibility as a self-professed champion of government ethics, and 2007 was no different. According to The Los Angeles Times, over the last four years, Reid has used his influence in Washington to help a developer, Havey Whittemore, clear obstacles for a profitable real estate deal. As the project advanced, the Times reported, "Reid received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Whittemore." Whittemore also hired one of Reid's sons (Leif) as his personal lawyer and then promptly handed the junior Reid the responsibility of negotiating the real estate deal with federal officials. Leif Reid even called his father's office to talk about how to obtain the proper EPA permits, a clear conflict of interest.

As you watch your TV each night, do you appreciate America's future sociological upheavals taking place before your eyes--today? For the most part, Americans don't bat an eyelash. As long as it doesn't bother them today, it's someone else's problem.

Los Angeles, California explodes with gang violence, 3.1 million illegal aliens,$38 billion debt, hospitals bankrupting, schools overrun and prisons exploding with Mexican criminals-but Americans go about their business as if it doesn't affect them.

It stupefies me that my neighbors in Denver, Colorado watch gang murders in our city each week without uttering a word. Drunken illegal migrants kill our citizens, but the local papers hide that fact in daily reports-on the guise of avoiding finger pointing at particular ethnic groups.

How grave must violence become before we garner the guts to confront objective facts? Do all minority groups merit immunity as our nation falls into lawless chaos? How does this serve our society?

Our Governor Ritter, while Colorado's district attorney, allowed seasoned drug and sex offenders off with 'criminal trespass' so they wouldn't be deported-but never told Colorado citizens. Many of them killed Coloradans after release. We feature 500,000 illegals in Colorado leeching into our schools and obtaining free breakfasts, lunches and welfare. Anchor babies stress our hospitals while illegals explode our prison population. Your state reflects similar statistics commensurate to your illegal alien population.

We Americans stagger into the night as we continue toward a cliff. Our presidential candidates continue dancing around the illegal immigration crisis. Huckabee continues his 'hucksterism' while Obama thinks 20 million of them pick lettuce. Hillary sprints away from every question as to her solutions. Notice how the main stream media marginalizes Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter by ignoring their answers to this nation-destroying issue. All the while, their 'pick' for president rides high in the polls.

We remain in the cross-hairs of a cultural time-bomb that already exploded in Europe. Their legal immigrants from poverty stricken regions in Africa and the Middle East accelerate social chaos, isolation, language separation and poverty. Harsh facts show them not assimilating into host countries. Multiculturalism and diversity prove a nightmare for Europeans.

In a report profiling our country's dilemma: "Glimpse into America's Future", December 7, 2007, Dave Gibson reported, "Once again massive riots have taken place in a Paris suburb which is populated with North African and Arab immigrants. Over the past week, over 100 police officers have been injured as thugs hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails, and fired shotguns at them.

"The accidental death of two black teenagers last week touched off riots. The Moroccan and Senegalese immigrants ran their motorcycle into a police car and were killed instantly. Neither of them wore a helmet. In 2005, it was also the death of two teenaged African immigrants who were electrocuted as they attempted to hide from police in an electrical substation, which touched off riots.

"The recent violence in Villiers-Le-Bel, France was reminiscent of the 2005 riots when North African and Arab immigrants rampaged for three weeks in 274 French cities and towns. During that period, 126 police officers and firefighters were injured, 9,000 vehicles were burned as well as many buildings, and the property damage reached $400 million."

The following are amongst the most despicable acts of the 2005 French riots:

* A nursery school was set ablaze in Carpentras

* Rioters attacked a daycare center in Cambrai

* A Roman Catholic Church was destroyed by firebombs in Romans-sur-Isere

* A junior high school In Grenoble was torched

Gibson continued, "France's North African and Arab population disproportionately dominate the welfare rolls. Easy access to government aid is what seems to have attracted many immigrants to France in the first place. Because they can rely on government payments indefinitely, these groups have little motivation to find jobs and have an extremely high unemployment rate. These groups also have the highest number of births of any ethnic group in France and account for that country's current birth rate, which is the highest in Europe.

"France's African and Arab population live almost exclusively unto themselves and rarely integrate. They live in housing projects supported by France's incredibly over-taxed citizens and have no interest in assimilation. More troubling is France's growing Muslim population which is estimated to be between 5-6 million. Islam is currently second to Catholicism in the number of followers amongst French worshipers."

Author, war correspondent, politician, and grandson of the British prime minister with the same name Winston Churchill III described the Muslim danger facing France in a speech given in Australia last year. An excerpt of that speech follows:

"The scale of the problem confronting Europe today is epitomized by France, which has a Muslim community of some six million, or 10 percent of its population. Their birthrate explodes beyond French citizens.

"In other words, within one further generation, France will have become an Islamic country--a truly awesome prospect.

"Just as France is being overrun with African and Arab immigrants who refuse to assimilate and even generations later, still identify themselves with their ancestral country rather than where they live most or all of their lives. The United States is facing the same situation due to the massive illegal immigration and high birth rate amongst Latinos."

In 2006, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that the population of the United States reached 300 million. Latino illegal immigration and births to those illegal aliens fueled the population explosion. In 2005, Latinos accounted for half of the U.S. population growth for that year. Less than one-fifth of that year's increase could be attributed to legal Americans.

Gibson reported,"The U.S. Census Bureau provided the following frightening statistics: The total U.S. population more than doubled from 131.7 million in 1940 to 290.8 million in 2003; the Latino population increased nearly 30 times in that same period. In 1940, the Latino population within the U.S. was 1.4 million, by 2003 it had swelled to 40 million.

"Last year, the racist Latino group known as La Raza proudly reported on their website that 85 percent of the world's Latino population under 18 were born inside the U.S. According to the Census Bureau, 80 percent of our Latino population is age 44 or younger, which means that the vast majority of Latinos in this country are still of child-bearing age!

"Considering the fact that 90 percent of the illegal drugs in this country are smuggled in across the Mexican border by Latino gangs such as MS-13, the Mexican Mafia, and the 18th Street Gang, we can expect to see open season on our police officers and American cities to resemble lawless Mexican towns as the presence of those gangs continues to grow.

"Illegal aliens account for 30 percent of this nation's prison population and present a much greater and present danger to America than Iraq or Afghanistan ever could.

"We all saw huge numbers of mostly illegal aliens marching in the streets of more than 20 U.S. cities last year, in which these invaders were demanding their 'rights.' In Dallas alone, 500,000 demonstrators filled the streets waving Mexican flags and shouting threats of 'Reconquista" (re-conquest of the American Southwest).

"Just as in France, we have a large and ever-growing immigrant population which refuses to assimilate or contribute to this nation. Remittances from the United States, account for Mexico's second richest industry, behind oil exports. Every year, illegal aliens working in this country send $45 billion in remittances to Latin America. Though many of them do work, they do so illegally while taking advantage of free public education, welfare programs, emergency services, and free healthcare by using hospital emergency rooms as their primary physician. As a result, dozens of hospitals across the country have bankrupted.

"With the incredible birth rates of Latinos and the continuous and unchecked Mexican invasion, this country will become another Latin American nation in our lifetime. What will this mean to you?

The disappearance of the English language, the destruction of our traditional American culture, the over-population of our cities, epidemics of once-thought eradicated diseases, crushing poverty, suppressed wages, and soaring crime. The amount of violence we have already seen perpetrated on American citizens by Latino foreign nationals will pale in comparison as uneducated, poor, lawless Latinos will take to our streets once again with their 'demands.' However, we will then be outnumbered.

"If an honest effort is not made to protect our border with Mexico and we do not adopt sensible immigration policies, the United States as we know it will cease to exist. Just as France will soon succumb to Islam, the United States will soon join the Third World."

If you need further proof, read Pat Buchanan's "Day of Reckoning" that illustrates America "deconstructing" and "decomposing" before our eyes. Again, I make this fact indelibly clear: no nation can immigrate millions upon millions of third world people manifesting profound illiteracy and incompatible cultures, and hope to sustain a balanced, functioning and viable society. In the end, we will all be at each others throats.

We stand nostril deep in trouble. If we continue this immigration onslaught, out of 100 million people added to America by 2040, a full 70 million, with their children, will be from the Third World. Our civilization doesn't stand a chance to remain viable, sustainable or cohesive.

As to the environmental ramifications of 100 million people, the more extreme our numbers the more extreme our children's consequences.

Vanity Fair's `Top 100' seems to confirm age-old `canards' about `Jewish power'

.If you think that the United States is run by a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) elite, think again. The reality is very much otherwise, according to an old-line American magazine that did, indeed, once rank as a voice of the so-called "WASP" establishment. Vanity Fair—the stylish monthly now owned by the billionaire Zionist Newhouse family—has just published its annual list of the 100 most powerful people in America, what Vanity Fair calls "the New Establishment." What this amazing list reveals is a reality that many will find hard to accept: America's "New Establishment" is overwhelmingly dominated by Jewish figures or those who are on the payroll of or dependent upon Jewish families and financial interests that bankroll the powerful Israeli lobby in America. That conclusion—however "offensive" or "controversial" in the eyes of some people—is inescapable. Based on Vanity Fair's listing from the position of 1-100, persons known to be Jewish occupy 53% of the power positions. However, there are actually 106 names on the list (with two names listed side by side in five places) and with the additional names (four of the six being Jewish), there are 57 individuals known to be Jewish listed. So depending upon how one calculates, either 53% (or 54% including all those listed) of the most powerful members of "the New Establishment"—as perceived by Vanity Fair—are Jewish.And it should be noted that Vanity Fair's assessment of who constitutes "the New Establishment" is one that critics would be hard-pressed to dispute. The fact that a Jewish-owned publication has published the names of these Jewish power brokers (without specifically citing their ethnic and religious heritage) is interesting, especially since Israel's prestigious newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, on Oct. 11, 2007, heralded publication of the list, saying in a headline that "Jewish power dominates [at the] Vanity Fair [list]. The reporter for the Post, Nathan Burstein, noted:

It's a list of "the world's most powerful people," 100 of the bankers and media moguls, publishers and image makers who shape the lives of billions. It's an exclusive, insular club, one whose influence stretches around the globe but is concentrated strategically in the highest corridors of power. More than half its members, at least by one count, are Jewish. It's a list, in other words, that would have made earlier generations of Jews jump out of their skins, calling attention, as it does, to their disproportionate influence in finance and the media. Making matters worse, in the eyes of many, would no doubt be the identity of the group behind the list—not a pack of fringe anti-Semites but one of the most mainstream, glamorous publications on the newsstands. The list would seem to conform to all the traditional stereotypes about areas of Jewish overrepresentation.

Although the "mainstream" media in the United States has failed to note the Jewish predominance on the list— which can correctly be called predominance, since Jewish people are said to be less than even 3% of the American population—the news about the list has been commented upon in American Jewish community publications. Joseph Aaron, editor of The Chicago Jewish News said that his readers should "feel very, very good about" the news that their co-religionists are so powerful in America. In the Vanity Fair list, which is reproduced here and annotated with factual details regarding those names on the list, AFP has indicated the Jewish names in boldface, although it is possible that there are other Jewish names on the list, but there is no firm research available confirming it. Also, note, for example, that media baron Rupert Murdoch— who appears at number one on the list—is not included here as being Jewish, for the reason that reports that his mother was Jewish have never been fully confirmed, although it has long been an article of faith on the Internet—perhaps in error—that Murdoch is Jewish). Whatever his ethnic antecedents, Murdoch has been a front-line supporter of Israel and the global Zionist cause—no surprise considering the fact that his primary financial backers in his rise to power were the powerful Rothschild, Bronfman and Oppenheimer families—all very definitely Jewish. Since the release of the list, several Internet sources have alleged that several other names on the list (that are not indicated here as being Jewish) are Jewish; however, AFP's research does not indicate that this is so. The bottom line is that the preponderance of the names are indisputably Jewish, whether the disputed names are or are not. Also significant is that the roughly 45-50% of the names on the list that are not definitely known to be Jewish or that are clearly non-Jewish are the names of individuals who are directly beholden to Jewish families and financial interests for their own power and privilege. Rupert Murdoch is perhaps the most prominent among this group. Secondly, in this realm, is Warren Buffett—listed at No. 6. Buffet is not Jewish, but he has long been in partnership with the Rothschild family and is a primary of the powerful Washington Post-Newsweek media combine. Although the Post is best known as the fiefdom of the American-based Jewish Meyer-Graham family, the evidence indicates that primary behind-the-scenes investors behind the influential Post empire have always operated in the sphere of Rothschild-connected banking interests operating on American soil. The Meyer/ Grahams, themselves, are related to the powerful San Francisco-based billionaire Jewish heirs of the Levi Strauss clothing kingdom. Seventeen of those listed are either actors, entertainers and television and news media personalities who—while now wealthy as a consequence of their fame—owe their fame (and wealth) to the patronage of the owners of the mass media which made these 17 figures household names: for example, individuals such as Fox News agitator Bill O'Reilly and Steven Colbert, among others. Three listed—Pinault, listed at 29, and Gagosian and Pigosi—listed at 84 and 86—are figures in the art world, which is known to be dominated by Jewish interests. Eight others, such as Bernard Arnault (listed at 8), Giorgio Armani (listed at 37), Miuccia Prada (at 44), Karl Lagerfeld (at 52), Martha Stewart (at 54), Oscar de la Renta (at 53) Diego Della Valle (at 63) and Donatella Versace (at 81) are figures in the fashion and perfume industries—both of which are totally dependent on garment manufacturing (dominated almost exclusively by Jewish families and financial interests) and on department store distribution and the advertising industry, both of which are likewise dominated by the same elements. Two of those listed—Bill Clinton and his former vice president Al Gore—are only politicians—note the clarification "only"—both of whom were installed in their positions of power through the patronage of Zionist financial interests. For his own part, Gore's daughter, Karenna, has married the great-great grandson of Jewish plutocrat Jacob Schiff, a satellite of the powerful Rothschild family. Informed students of history know that Schiff was instrumental in financing the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. Several others are officers of media giants dominated by Jewish financial interests, acting as well-paid "fronts" for the controllers behind the scenes. For example, Richard Parsons, an African-American, is listed at 18th place, but he is no more than a front man at Time-Warner. And as those who know the history of Time-Warner are well aware, that media empire has been dominated since at least the late 1960s, of elements linked to the organized crime syndicate of Jewish gangster, Meyer Lansky (who worked closely with Israel's Mossad) and to the Lansky-connected liquor empire of Sam Bronfman, longtime chief of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), and his son, Edgar Bronfman, who recently retired as head of the WJC. It has been widely asserted that the idea that Jewish families and financial interests were very powerful was "an old wives's tale," a "ridiculous anti-Semitic canard with no basis in reality," said to be the product of a "discredited czarist forgery." However, the new Vanity Fair assessment suggests otherwise and seems to confirm the theme of this author's work, The New Jerusalem, which had already documented in detail what Vanity Fair has now confirmed: "Zionist power in America."

I must admit that when I watched Barack Obama's speech on the evening of Super Tuesday the crowd responded to him as if it was a Holy Roller religious service instead of a political rally.
