It always pays to look at crosstabs in a poll to understand how a sample was sourced. In this instance, those polled in the southern U.S. gave Romney a 22-point lead. Everywhere else, Obama as several points over Romney.

So Romney is fast at work making people comfortable with a one-percent world (and thinking that they'll benefit from it, often because of their skin) happy. And it works. For the rest of us, not so much. 

And these numbers are before the "binder of women" man gets to have his multiple miscues in last night's debate analyzed around the water coolers and coffee tables. 

The man should have been deep fried a couple of weeks ago, but it does appear that the only truly energized segment are people with a severely retrograde view of the world.
